From tomorrow, 1 July 2017, the courts will no longer post hard copies of sealed orders by mail to legal representatives.

All court orders will be signed and sealed electronically and available to download from the Commonwealth Courts Portal available here.

The regime will be extended to all parties from 1 January 2018.

The changes are intended to provide faster and more secure delivery of court orders.

This is not a retrospective change. Past orders issued before 1/7/17 may not be available on the Portal. The usual application process for requesting a sealed copy of orders will still be required for past orders.
